Tim’s Intermediate II Communication class finished off a week of talking about giving interviews and forming questions by going out to Boston Common to interview people. A list of 15 questions was drawn up and students went out in pairs to stop strangers and see if they could be understood and understand the English of everyday Americans. The people in the park were very friendly and gave a wide range of answers.

Tim’s Intermediate II Communication class practiced public speaking by traveling to Boston Common where they got to stand on the public bandstand and made brief speeches about themselves. Their classmates then asked questions from the “audience”. It was a little nerve-wracking because people walking by would stop to listen.
