Our students join the millions across the world in wanting to do something to help the victims of the January earthquake in Haiti. Cora’s class came up with the idea of a donation effort at BAE, and the school agreed to support and match the contributions. Students, teachers, and staff donated the week of January 25th, and a total of $400.00 was raised and sent to the American Red Cross specifically for Haiti Relief.Way to go, guys!
Cultural presentations in Cora’s class were so wonderful! we had presentations about Thailand, Russia, Israel, Venezuela, Colombia and Turkey. Everyone did a fantastic job with clear speaking and a real enthusiasm for each other’s culture. Most students actually did their presentations without notes - very impressive people!Everyone talked about the native food and drink from each other’s countries - i really hope next time we can get some real samples and not just pictures ![]()
Candace’s drama elective completed another performance last session, but this time, they actually wrote their own scripts! wow - speaking, pronunciation, presentation AND writing skills all in the same class?? Can the teachers sign up too?
