We’re taking out our academic frustrations on the field! Tim scheduled a paintball activity today. We had a whole bunch of people sign up! They were all excited to get down and dirty. Let’s see what happens tomorrow…maybe there will be a different energy around BAE…a little more calm, let’s say.

Dan has been using lots of his famous music collection to help students improve listening and vocabulary. He’s dedicating time every day to play a song from a specific genre and students are having fun focusing their skills. Besides vocabulary, their also enjoying getting a lot of cultural information from the lyrics. Maybe Dan could give them some dancing lessons as well!

Some classes are studying crime in America. By analyzing different court cases and using our own cultural backgrounds and experiences, the students are developing appropriate punishments for various types of crimes. There are seven different nationalities in one class, so the results are surprising. Some students are having a hard time deciding what to do with both minor crimes, like shoplifting, and more serious violations, like assault and battery. The conversations are pretty serious. Destiny is in the students’ hands!
